“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”

Dubai London Clinic’s Cardiology Department uses sophisticated tools to diagnose heart and vascular diseases. We are particularly focused on people who may be at high risk from such conditions, such as those with a family history of heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or those nearing middle age who led a lifestyle that has been harsh on the heart.
Screening in the Cardiology Department consists of laboratory tests to measure the amounts of fat and cholesterol in the blood, and a combination of non-surgical imaging technologies that provide physicians a window into the heart. Also, the full range of heart disease prevention and treatment are available from drug therapy to invasive procedures and surgery. Our Cardiologists are involved in a wide range of basic (laboratory) and clinical (patient) research ensuring they stay up to date with the latest news and research.
Heart Services Offered
Blood Pressure Monitoring
If your blood pressure is high, it is putting extra strain on your arteries and on your heart. Therefore, it is essential to monitor your blood pressure to know the course of treatment.
Exercise stress test (stress ECG)
A stress test, sometimes called a treadmill test or exercise test, helps a doctor find out how well your heart handles work. The test can show if the blood supply is reduced in the arteries that supply the heart.
Echo test (ultrasound of the heart)
In an echo test, ultrasound (high-frequency sound waves) from a hand-held wand placed on your chest provides pictures of the heart’s valves and chambers and helps the sonographer evaluate the pumping action of the heart.
Central blood pressure test
The degree to which the peripheral BP is higher than central BP is determined by the stiffness of the arteries. Central BP can be directly measured only using a pressure sensor or catheter inserted into the aorta.
Stress echocardiography test
In combination with various stressors, echocardiography provides a means of identifying myocardial ischaemia by detection of stress induced wall motion abnormalities.
Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography
A specialized probe containing an ultrasound transducer at its tip is passed into the patient’s esophagus. This allows image and Doppler evaluation which can be recorded.
Dobutamine and exercise stress Echocardiography
The dobutamine stress echo test involves the injection of a medication called dobutamine while you are closely monitored. The medication stimulates your heart in a similar way as exercise.
Ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring
Ambulatory ECG monitoring provides your Doctor with a recording of your heart’s electrical activity over a prolonged period. There are two variants: Holter monitoring and event monitoring.
Coronary angiography and right heart cathererization
A coronary angiogram, which can help diagnose heart conditions, is the most common type of cardiac catheterization procedure. In the procedure, a type of dye that’s visible by an X-ray machine is injected into the blood vessels of your heart.
The pacemaker or defibrillator has the ability to communicate through the skin with a programmer. This interrogation is performed by placing a wand over the patient’s chest where the device is located.
