Dr. Mina is an Internal Medicine Specialist with over 37 years of experience, and is fluent in 5 languages.
Dr. Mina completed her Primary Medical Degree in 1982 at the University of Belgrade Medical School. During her early career she worked with the Clinical Hospital Center Zvezdara (Serbia) and Baylor College of Medicine (Texas) in Allergy. She was a Research Fellow at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston. She completed her Master’s Degree in Immunology in 2000 and was promoted to Chief of Staff - Primarius in Allergies in 2004. During this period, she was a Professor in Internal Medicine at the School of Dentistry, University of Belgrade. She was a mentor in Allergy and Clinical Immunology for residents specialising in Internal Medicine.
She joined the Dubai London Specialty Clinic & Hospital in 2009, sharing her experiences of working within multicultural environments. With the growing crises in Obesity and Diabetes, her interests have expanded. She focuses on Pre-Diabetes, Diabetes and problems of fatigue, weight gain, Dyslipidemia and Hypertension. She completed Postgraduate Studies at the University of Leicester (2016) as well as programs in Diabetes Management at Harvard University Medical School (2018) and the University of Dresden (2019).
Dr. Mina is a subspecialist with extensive experience in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases and has authored numerous papers in relevant scientific journals.
