Tips To Creating An Amazing Skincare Routine
Skincare, over recent years, has become the latest rage in the beauty world.
As we deal with harmful UV rays and pollution in everyday life, our skin takes it’s toll and is constantly prone to breaking out and getting damaged by external factors.
Skincare routines have proved beneficial as they protect your skin from daily pollutants and leave you with radiant-looking skin.
As advised by Dr Bina Rabadia, Specialist Dermatologist at Dubai London Clinic and Speciality Hospital, every individual has a different skin type. As various products react differently to each skin type, it is crucial to find a routine that works best for each person.
Based on the various skin types, acne-prone, combination, sensitive, oily and dry, creating a personalised skincare routine is key and not all products recommended will work.
While creating a skincare routine, an elaborate routine is not required.
A basic morning routine, as mentioned by Dr Selma Alhabib, Specialist Dermatologist at Mediclinic Dubai Mall and Al Sufouh needs to include cleansing, moisturising and using sunscreen, while at night, a cleanser, toner, serum and a night cream should be used.
Dr Bina Rabadia, Specialist Dermatologist at Dubai London Clinic and Speciality Hospital said that products targeting your skin’s needs are important to add in, with oily skin types using a gel moisturiser, lotions for combination and normal skin types and creams for dry skin types.
As people age, the skin, the largest organ in the body, loses its elasticity and hydration level and requires additional products to be added to your skincare routine.
From the age of 25 years, when the skin starts ageing, Dr Bina Rabadia, Specialist Dermatologist at Dubai London Clinic and Speciality Hospital added that retinol helps in increasing collagen in the skin and a moisturiser with hyaluronic acid will help boost hydration.
